I recently went to an appointment for emerging Australian jewelry designer, Sylvie Markovina and couldn’t stop trying samples on. Though she’s been collaborating with fashion designer Kirrily Johnston for a few years now, Spring/Summer 2010 will mark her first solo collection and also the first time her designs will be available within the U.S.
Each piece is creative, raw, and affordable, which is perfect for the direction that many young jewelry designers have been moving into within the last few years. Inspired by 1920’s Los Angeles and Mexico, the collection is made up of sculpted brass and accented with raw quartz rock, Swarovski crystals or vintage coins.
