I'm seeing double...

Ola & Olek is an adorable line of children's clothing from the UK, and so is the photography.  The style is a nod towards Loretta Lux. But I'm a sucker for mini redheads and these kids take the cake!

Get Artful with Bil Donovan

I recently rediscovered illustrator Bil Donovan's simple yet utterly sophisticated art. And when I say simple, I don't mean basic--Donovan's talent is unmistakable--it's more that his work is unaffected, classic and flat-out cool.

See more of his work at BilDonovan.com and, here's a portrait he did of me (!), courtesy of a Dior PR event. Merci, Mr. Donovan!

Geometry

Recently my eye has been drawn to items with powerful shapes. From polygons to hexagons, these pieces almost have me thinking that math could be fun...(emphasis on the almost).

Site of Inspiration

Patternity is a website that I visited over a year ago, but then forgot about, until recently.

Based in London and founded in August 2009 by Art Director Anna Murray and Textile & Surface Designer Grace Winteringham, the site is a collection of inspirational pictures and patterns covering the Fashion, Interior & Luxury worlds.

I am currently in love with all the pastel images that seem to have influenced the fashion world this past Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter with soft rose pastels paired with neutrals of grey and nude.

one to love

Obviously there is lots of etsy love from all of us at canvass. Can I add one more shop to enjoy? This seller does such a great job of collecting, styling, and photographing her objects.

diorama-lama

These beautiful diorama's from stylist Irina Graewe make me really want to whip out a shoe box and give it a go.  The pieces alone are so familiar and almost obvious, but within the setting they tell a story. Oh, to be so brilliant.

The bar has been raised and I feel for any child who ever asks me for help with a school project.

Weekender Warrior

I'm obsessed with Sir & Madame's new--and delightfully affordable--Weekenders. So much that I'd love to get all three. And, after being charged $25 to check a bag over the weekend (American Airlines, I'm looking at you), I wish I had packed lighter and flown fee-free.

So, in honor of Sir & Madame's new, covetable Weekender and easy traveling everywhere, I give you my jet-set (as if) must-haves:
Juliette Has a Gun bullet perfume in Miss Charming
Diptyque Travel Kit in L'Ombre dans l'eau

The Wonderbar! Best. Face Wash. Ever.

Muji Travel Containers for my Shu Uemura Art of Hair Essence Absolue Oil.
